Rooti/Nan and Halal Chicken

As the topic title tells this post is regarding the two most scarce items in Japan for us pakistanis. You are deprived of these two things the most. So, my search went on and guess what I found both of them in accessable locations. dont believe me.. then see the tags below and decide for urself:

• Roti & Nan: These are located in Landmark plaza (yup the plaza outside JGC office). Goto ground floor of plaza and there is a store there by name of “SuperMarket” and in its last aisle you will find both Nan and Rooti.. ready to heat and eat. The prices are WAY too high.. so I didnt get it. and just took the photos.. so that i can search it in other stores. cuz here in landmark plaza’s stores, every godo is double the price.
• Halal Chicken: This I found near my own residence, in the covered grocery market street. I had gone there to get some more potatos to make french fries today. But then I saw a meat shop, and as all other meat shops there.. no meat packet carried the tag of Halal. Then I asked the attendent girl there “Halal” and she gave me a nod in yes. and then went to a freezer.. uncovered some other meat packets from above it.. and from under there.. took out a stock of Chicken from brazil.. called “Sadias Frozen boneless Chicken”, and it had halal tag on it. so u can get it too.. u wont find it openly placed in shops.. and i checked other meat shops too just to be sure.. but none of them kept it. Its a meat shop with name in japanese.. but “meat shop” is written in english on board and it is nearlly in teh mid of this grocery street. so u can go and buy this. I bought a 250g packet for around 1,500 Yen.

5 mini nan for 360Y

10 med rooti for 475Y

2kg chicken for 1500Y

It had started raining.. and it was so beautiful.. i enjoyed the rain while coming back.. and got some low fat yogurt on the way back.. gonna cook something of chicken tomorrow… now only if cheaper source of roti can be found nearby.. everything will be set!
